Da Nang massage and spas for Korean and Japanese visitors: trusted spas near My Khe and 2026 prices

Walk down Võ Nguyên Giáp street on any evening and you will see almost as many spa signs in Hangul as in Vietnamese. There is a reason: according to Da Nang's tourism department, Korean travellers made up 20.55% of the city's international arrivals in the first half of 2026, the largest single market, with Japanese visitors at 3.66%. More visitors means more spas, and more places you should not walk into.

How much does a massage cost in Da Nang in 2026?

Compiled from published Da Nang spa price lists and 2026 price guides (see sources below). Prices include room, towels and tea; tips are extra. At current rates 100,000₫ is roughly US$4.

At the luxury end the range is wide: some spas list 60-minute treatments above 2,000,000₫, such as a 60-minute Thai massage at 2,200,000₫. Why the same treatment costs different amounts

• Location: a sea-view shopfront on Võ Nguyên Giáp costs more than a lane a few hundred metres inland.
• Referral commissions: when a hotel desk, driver or guide "takes you somewhere", the price often includes their cut. Booking the spa directly avoids it.
• Rooms and extras: private rooms with showers, couples rooms, free hotel pick-up.
• Therapist experience: certified, long-serving therapists charge more.

Which area should you choose?

Da Nang abolished districts in July 2025, but people (and map apps) still use the old names:

• An Thuong and My Khe (former Ngu Hanh Son district, now Ngu Hanh Son ward): dense with spas, Korean restaurants and small hotels. Most convenient if you stay by the beach, and the place to be most selective.
• An Hai ward (former An Hai Bac, An Hai Nam and Phuoc My, in old Son Tra district): the northern stretch of My Khe, with many hotels serving Korean and Japanese guests.
• Hai Chau and Thanh Khe: the city centre, mid-range spas with mostly Vietnamese regulars and softer prices.
• Hoi An (now part of Da Nang city): herbal spas in and around the old town, handy on a day trip.

Five signs to walk away

In January 2026 Da Nang police shut down two prostitution operations posing as "spa and massage" businesses on the upper floors of two large hotels, serving both local and foreign customers. A big hotel name is not a guarantee. Watch for:

1. Frosted or fully covered glass doors that hide the reception area.
2. Staff on plastic stools outside calling you in and pointing at a menu.
3. Neon "Men Spa" signs with barely any waiting area.
4. No posted price list, or prices that change depending on who asks.
5. Rooms that lock from inside, staff who never walk in and out, or an "extra menu".

A proper spa, by contrast, hands you an intake form about health and sore spots, swaps your shoes for slippers at the door, and treats the posted price as final, with no tax or service charge added at checkout. Tips for Korean and Japanese visitors

Language

Some spas near My Khe have English and Korean-speaking therapists; Japanese speakers are much rarer. Each BookMe venue page lists its languages, so check before booking. If your therapist only speaks Vietnamese, these words cover most of what you need:

Paying

Which massage suits a short trip?

• Just landed, tired legs: a 60-minute foot massage, quick and cheap.
• After Ba Na Hills or climbing the Marble Mountains: a 90-minute oil body or Thai massage for stretching.
• Jet lag, poor sleep, stress: hot stones or gentle aromatherapy, paired with a herbal head spa.
• Couples or friends: ask for a shared room, or add a facial at the same time.

Avoid massage straight after drinking, a heavy meal or a bad sunburn from a day on the beach, and tell your therapist if you are pregnant or have a medical condition.
