The pre-Tết 2027 beauty timeline: an 8-week plan so you never hear 'we're full'

Tết 2026 taught everyone the same lesson: people queued from 3 a.m. in Hanoi, Saigon nail bars hung "no more clients after the 28th" signs, and anyone booking after the 20th of the last lunar month paid 20 to 30% extra without a guaranteed seat. Tết 2027 comes early (6 February), so peak season starts right after Christmas. Here is the countdown that gets you ready on time without losing sleep.

The rule: schedule by healing time

Every service needs a settling period. Too early and it fades; too late and it has not healed. Order them from slowest to fastest:

The 8-week timeline (counting back from 6 February 2027)

Weeks 8 to 7: 12 to 25 December 2026 — permanent makeup, clinic consults

• Book lip and brow tattooing now. Top artists in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are booked 3 to 4 weeks out at this time of year.
• Book a consult at an aesthetic clinic if you want filler or botox: inject 3 to 4 weeks before Tết so swelling is gone.
• Start laser hair removal if you are new; sessions are 4 to 6 weeks apart.

Weeks 6 to 5: 26 December 2026 to 8 January 2027 — skin, teeth, laser

• Pigment laser and peels: last session before 8 January.
• Teeth whitening and scaling in time for family photos.
• Buy a 3-session facial package spaced 10 days apart.

Weeks 4 to 3: 9 to 22 January 2027 — hair

• The golden window for perms, colour and balayage. Book your usual stylist; on BookMe you choose the exact person and hold a 2 to 3 hour slot.
• Men: a Korean perm in week 3 so it settles.
• Prices are still normal at most salons this week. From the 20th of the lunar month (around 27 January) many add surcharges.

Week 2: 23 to 29 January 2027 — repair and mom & baby

• Keratin or collagen repair a week after colour.
• Final facial, and a herbal head spa for the whole family.
• New mothers: book at-home massage and herbal steaming now, therapists leave for Tết early.

Week 1: 30 January to 5 February 2027 — nails, lashes, barber, photos

• 30 January to 2 February: lashes and the ao dai photo shoot (studio booked since December!).
• 2 to 4 February: nails for your friend group: use group booking to hold 3 or 4 chairs at once.
• 3 to 5 February: men's cut and shave, pet grooming and car wash, the three services people forget until it is too late.
• 5 February (New Year's Eve): only light things: blow-dry, hourly cleaning. Home cleaning needs at least 5 days' notice this week.

How to keep the price and the slot
